but Cont Dracula wasn’t one. and of course he didn’t drink the blood, and he didn’t have sharp fangs, or did he?

Bram Stoker’s Dracula has been known to be the first important book written about vampires, do believe this is true? State your decision and explain. Approx. 1 page.
There are so many stories about vampires, and how people said that Dracula was a vampire. But why did people say that he was a vampire? Wasn’t he a real person, right? And are vampires considered living things, or corpses? When did people start making up stories about vampires?
As I understood it, Dracula has the ability to read minds. In some sense. If that is so, then can he read the minds of other vampires, or just his prey?
When Jonathan was trying to escape from Dracula’s tomb towards the beginning, Dracula sensed it and made the door slam shut. I thought he had the ability to read some level of thought.

what are the differences between stokers’s dracula and vampires that are in modern day shows, books, movies ect..
differnces such as powers, appearance, personaility, those kinds of things
I am placing my money on Count Dracula. Here’s why:
Age: Dracula – 500+ years; Edward – 108 years
Fight: Dracula – personally led armies against the Turks and went undefeated
Edward – fought a few vampires here and there, but Dracula freaking CONTROLS vampires
Bloodlust: Dracula – isn’t afraid of draining a human of blood
Edward – wusses out at the sight of human blood
So I’m writting a research paper for english on the progression of vampires, and I have to connect it back to British literature; I have Vampyre, Varney the Vampire, and Dracula does anyone know of any other books that were published, and if anyone has any tips or websites that would aid me in writting this paper it would be greatly appreciated:)
